Biathlon World Championships (Oslo)

In the men's 10 km Sprint, Ole Einar Björndalen (NOR) showed that he can keep up with the younger athletes: with a clean shooting he was only 26.9 seconds behind Martin Fourcade in the target. That was the silver medal at the end.

With two penalty laps and a sovereign performance, Ole Einar Björndalen was able to defend the second place also at 12, 5 km pursuit. The race was exciting until the very end, because almost none of the athletes who started first completed a completely faultless shooting.

Börndalen was delighted with his second silver medal: "I've showed a very good race. The pursuit is hard. That is why I am even more pleased."
