At the Biathlon World Championships in Finland Ole Einar Bjoerndalen, Tarje and Johannes Thingnes Boe become together with Emil Hegle Svendsen Vice World Champion at the 4 x 7.5 km relay behind the new world champion Germany. The bronze medal went to France. Ole Einar Bjoerndalen said in the press conference: "It was a good race of me today and I am happy with my performance today." Also Johannes Thingnes Boe is confident: "The World Championships here in Kontiolahti has been more than satisfying for me, and I'm very proud being a part of this team."
